Phone Home
Once upon a time, hotels used to make giant profits from the excessive charges applied to international telephone calls made from a guest’s bedroom. With the advent of mobile phones, this source of revenue dried up but was quickly replaced by the ability to charge people a fortune for the privilege of connecting to the Internet.
LUX* always believes in looking at things a little differently and here was an opportunity to surprise and delight guests. Imagine discovering a bright red London style phone box in the middle of the hotel grounds. Internally, the phone booth is equipped with a retro-styled telephone connected to a voIP (or voice over IP) line offering free Internet telephone calls.
Please place a complimentary call, whether to touch base with family or to stay connected with a loved one. go on. Phone your parents and let them know how you’re doing. But no calls to the office will be permitted!
Photo Shack
The old-fashioned photo booth used to be a place for one purpose only and that was to get your passport picture taken. since then, they’ve become an entertaining pit stop for many people taking a break in shopping malls, train stations, airports and even restaurants and clubs.
Photo booths have even become a trendy retro accessory for weddings and parties, as they never fail to become a source of light hearted fun and games. friends, family and couples will cram themselves into the small space, scramble into as many striking poses as they can muster hoping to crane their heads into the frame just before the camera gets busy flashing.
The photo booth can post pictures directly to facebook and other social networking sites or you can get them printed out at reception to take away as a souvenir.
